In 2004 zal gestart worden met een inventarisatie en onderzoek naar innovatieve oplossingen om parkeren te integreren in herstructureringsprojecten. De parkeernorm wordt steeds hoger, maar gebouwd parkeren is vaak financieel niet haalbaar. Dus moeten er realistische oplossingen komen voor parkeren in de openbare ruimte. De resultaten zijn van belang voor de belanghebbenden in de herstructurering van Hoogvliet: woningcorporaties, Deelgemeente Hoogvliet, Ontwikkelingsbedrijf Rotterdam, Dienst Stedenbouw en Volkshuisvesting. Verder ook voor belanghebbenden in andere herstructureringsprojecten in Nederland.
Parking morphology: An evaluation and investigation of innovative solutions for the integration of parking into the restructuring projects will be launched in 2004. Parking standards are becoming increasingly high, but parking structures are often financially unfeasible. Realistic solutions are therefore necessary for the problem of parking in public spaces. The results will be of use to the parties involved in Hoogvlietķs restructuring: housing corporations, the Borough of Hoogvliet, the Rotterdam Development Corporation and the Department of Urban Planning and Public Housing. They will also be valuable to parties involved in other Dutch restructuring projects.
