Samen met Deltalinqs (belangenvereniging voor bedrijven in het havengebied) en het Scheepvaart en Transport College, heeft WiMBY! geijverd voor een Oefenfabriek voor de procesindustrie in de onmiddellijke nabijheid van Hoogvliet. Dit unieke fenomeen biedt o.a. jongeren uit de wijde omgeving de kans om praktijkervaring op te doen met het besturen van petrochemische installaties. Daarnaast wordt het gebouw een nieuwe landmark die de relatie van Hoogvliet als een jonge stad met haar industriÎle omgeving nieuw leven inblaast. Kamiel Klaasse (NL Architects) en Rudolf Das hebben samen met STC schetsen voor deze hypermoderne, hi-tech onderwijsmachine gemaakt. De bedoeling van het project Proeffabriek was om, op allerlei manieren, de verbindingen tussen de stad Hoogvliet en het Rotterdamse haven- en industriecomplex te versterken. De resultaten zijn in 2002 gepresenteerd in een folder.
 Pilot Plant: Together with Deltalinqs (a federation that represents the interests of companies in the harbour area) and the Scheepvaart en Transport College, WiMBY! advocated a Practice Plant for the processing industry in the immediate vicinity of Hoogvliet. One of the things this unique organisation would offer is the chance for young people from the area to gain practical experience in the operations of a petrochemical plant. In addition, the building would become a new landmark which would breathe new life into the relationship Hoogvliet, a young city, has with its industrial surroundings. Together with STC, Kamiel Klaasse (NL Architects) and Rudolf Das have drawn up sketches for this hyper-modern, high-tech educational machine. The intention of the Pilot Plant project was to reinforce the connections between the town of Hoogvliet and the Rotterdam port and industry complex in a variety of ways. The results were presented in a brochure in 2002.
