Campus Hoogvliet |
|||
| The largest and most complex WiMBY! project is for Campus Hoogvliet. Three Hoogvliet schools will be constructing a cluster of facilities and school buildings near the Zalmplaat tram stop. This will make Hoogvliet a centre of educational renewal in a regional network of secondary education, in which it will be easier for pupils to move on from course to course and choose the direction and subjects that are best for them. This will take place in an environment that becomes an inseparable part of Hoogvliet and will be open and green. The architecture and public space must be of international standard. The Campus should open its doors in 2010. |

| This site will explain and document the development of the Campus. It has been created both for those who want a quick overview of the main points and those who would like to read the related documents or study the designs. The development of the Campus is divided into the five steps: 1. Previous History (Achtergronden en voorgeschiedenis) 2. Research (Onderzoek en verkenning) 3. Design (Opdracht en ontwerp) 4. Building (De bouw) 5. Campus in action (De Campus in gebruik) The site also contains a range of supplementary information about, for example, the parties involved, Hoogvliet, education, the designers, and about WiMBY! There are maps of Hoogvliet and the Campus, the timetable is summarised on a timeline, and people involved in the Campus will regularly tell us about it in a series of columns. There is of course also a list of interesting links. All these items can be found in the faq section Like Campus itself, the site is far from complete; new items will be added regularly. |
